I Remember Nothing and Other Reflections – Nora Ephron


Parodies are very odd things. I’ve written only about a half dozen of them in my life; they come on to you like the wind, and you write them almost possessed. It’s as close as a writer gets to acting –it’s almost as if you’re in character for a short time, and then it passes.

… journalistic fantasy.

A slice of anger in the pie of your brain.

But the main problem with our marriages was not that our husbands wouldn’t share the housework but that we were unbelievably irritable young women and our husbands irritated us unbelievably.
