The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

I don’t care what’s been said or written about this book, I didn’t like it. Great plot but the execution of it was dull. So, I watched the movie instead.

The Last Lecture – Randy Pausch, Jeffrey Zaslow

“Never make a decision until you have to.”

“Just because you’re in the driver’s seat doesn’t mean you have to run people over.”

“You’ve got to get the fundamentals down, because otherwise the fancy stuff is not going to work.”

“Experience is what you get when you didn’t get what you wanted.”

“When it comes to men who are romantically interested in you, it’s really simple. Just ignore everything they say and only pay attention to what they do.”

“It’s also a reminder that failure is not just acceptable, it‘s often essential.”

“A good apology is like an antibiotic; a bad apology is like rubbing salt in the wound.”

The Times of Our Lives – Louise Hay and Friends

“When everything intangible has gone –status, worldly identity, optimism for the future, ambition- people can still be human to each other. When everything tangible has gone –home, land, family, farm animals, clothes, and possessions- people can still be human to each other. Being human is all they have left.”
